Aptech Computer Education, Nigeria, offers ‘Mission IT scholarship’ worth N135 million to help students join career building IT programs like Aptech Certified Computer Professional, Aptech Certified Network Specialist, and Information Security & Ethical Hacking. Scholarships were awarded to students who got top scores in an eligibility test that measured numerical, analytical, reasoning, and verbal abilities.

Kallol Mukherjee, deputy vice president, international business, Aptech, said that this financial assistance initiative is meant for students who are unable to afford IT education. Aptech’s courses prepare students for a career in the booming IT sector, and help working professionals to gain IT skills for better job opportunities.

The courses cover latest technologies including web & enterprise application development with open source technologies, ASP.NET, Red Hat Linux System Administration, MS SQL Server, and app development for Android & iOS. On successful completion of an IT course, Aptech students work as programmers, web developers, system analysts, database analysts, project managers, software architects, solution builders & consultants at top companies in the country.

Students pursuing the Aptech Certified Computer Professional (ACCP) program are also eligible for a credit transfer facility that provides them an opportunity to join the final year of B.Sc. (Hons) at the prestigious Middlesex University, in London, Dubai, Mauritius or Malta. Students can join one of the following programs abroad – Information Technology, Computer Networks, Information Technology & Business Information Systems or Computer Science.
